श्रीमद्भग्वद्गीता
सर्वोपनिषदो गावो दोग्धा गोपालनन्दनः
पार्थो वत्सः सुधीर्भोक्ता दुग्धं गीतामृतं महत् |
अर्थ – सब उपनिषद् गाय हैं ओर गोकुल के महान् गोपनन्दन दुहने वाले हैं, कुशाग्रबुद्धि अर्जुन भग्वान् के कृपापात्र वत्स हैं, और गीता का उपदेश दुहा हुआ अमृत है |
अर्थात – सनातन धर्म में वर्णित जितने भी उपनिषद् हैं वह गाय के समान हैं | (गाय अर्थात वह ईश्वरीय रचना जिसका दुध, दहि, घी अमृत के तुल्य माना गया है जिसका मूत्र भी रोगनाशक होता है उसी प्रकार से उपनिषद् का एक एक अक्षर व्यक्ति के जीवन को सन्मार्ग की ओर अग्रसर करता है | जीवन के आदिदैविक, अदिभौतिक और आध्यात्मिक त्रिवित्ताप का समन करके जीवन को मोक्ष प्रदान करता है |)
और इस उपनिषद् रूपी गाय को दुहने वाले गोकुल के गोपाल अर्थात् स्वयं श्रीकृष्ण जो नित ही गायों का पालन पोषण करते हैं वह इस गाय के अमृत रूपी दूध को दोहने वाले हैं, कुशाग्रबुद्धि अर्जुन भगवान् के कृपापात्र वत्स हैं, और गीता का उपदेश दुहा हुआ अमृत है |
महाभारत के अमर एवं दिव्य गीत ‘श्रीमद्भग्वद्गीता’ के अध्ययन के महत्त्व के बारे में कुछ कहना व्यर्थ है | सहायता और मार्गप्रदर्शन के लिए इसकी ओर उन्मुख व्यक्ति को इस ग्रन्थ ने शांति और संतोष प्रदान किया है | अपनी दुर्बल मानवीय दृष्टि के अविश्वास एवं संशय के बादलों द्वारा सर्वथा आच्छादित या धुंधली होने पर प्रकाश पाने की आशा से इसका आश्रय ग्रहण करने वाले व्यक्ति को गीता ने कभी हताश नहीं किया |
वैदिक ऋषियों तथा उनके शिष्यों द्वारा संरक्षित और उपदिष्ट एवं अभ्यस्त दर्शन-शास्त्र के सिद्धांतों को समझने की इच्छा वाले व्यक्ति के लिए यह नितांत आवश्यक है कि वह भगवद्गीता का सावधानी तथा बारीकी से अध्ययन करे | भगवद्गीता मनुष्य को हर प्रकार के पापों से मुक्त करती है | भगवान ने गीता में स्पष्ट रूप हर एक आत्मा को विश्वास दिलाया है कि वे सब पापों से उद्धार करेंगे | वह इस बात का भय न करें |
“अहं त्वा सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः”
इस विश्वमुक्ति की कुंजी को भगवान् ने सावधानी से भाग्वाद्व्याख्यान में रखा है जिसे मनुष्य सामान्यतः गीता कहते हैं | वास्तव में श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता का माहात्म्य वाणी द्वारा वर्णन करने के लिए किसी की भी सामर्थ्य नहीं है; क्योंकि यह एक परम रहस्य ग्रन्थ है | इसमें सम्पूर्ण वेदों का सार-सार संग्रह किया गया है | इसकी संस्कृत इतनी सहज और सरल है कि थोडा अभ्यास करने से मनुष्य उसको सहज ही समझ सकता है; परन्तु इसका आशय अत्यंत गंभीर है जिसे आजीवन निरंतर अभ्यास करने पर भी उसका अंत नहीं आता है | प्रतिदिन नवीन-नवीन भाव एवं इसके पद पद में परम रहस्य भरा हुआ प्रत्यक्ष प्रतीत होता है | भगवान् ने ‘श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता’ रूप एक ऐसा अनुपमेय शास्त्र कहा है कि जिसमें एक भी शब्द सदुपदेश से खाली नहीं है | श्रीवेदव्यास जी ने महाभारत में गीताजी का वर्णन करने के उपरांत कहा है –
गीता सुगीता कर्तव्या किमन्यैः शास्त्रविस्तरैः |
या स्वयं पद्मनाभस्य मुखपद्माद्विनिःसृता ||
गीता सुगीता करने योग्य है अर्थात श्री गीता जी को भली प्रकार पढ़कर अर्थ और भाव सहित अन्तः करण में धारण कर लेना मुख्य कर्तव्य है, जो कि स्वयं पद्मनाभ भगवान श्रीविष्णु के मुखारविंद से निकली हुई है; फिर अन्य शास्त्रों के विस्तार से क्या प्रयोजन है ? इस गीताशास्त्र में मनुष्य मात्र का अधिकार है चाहे वह किसी भी वर्ण, आश्रम में स्थित हो परन्तु भगवान् में श्रद्धालु और भक्तियुक्त अवश्य होना चाहिए | कल्याण की इच्छा वाले मनुष्यों को उचित है कि मोह का त्याग कर अतिशय श्रद्धा-भक्तिपूर्वक गीता जी का पठन और मनन करते हुए भगवान के आज्ञानुसार साधन करने में तत्पर हो जाएँ क्योंकि अति दुर्लभ मनुष्य शरीर को प्राप्त होकर अपने अमूल्य समय का एक क्षण भी दुःखमूलक क्षणभंगुर भोगों के भोगने में नष्ट करना उचित नहीं है |
