ड्रेगन की हरकतों को देखते हुए शून्य से माइनस 20 डिग्री तापमान में भी भारतीय सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के जवान मिलम से लेकर लिपुलेख तक सीमावर्ती चौकियों में डटे हुए हैं। सेना और अर्द्धसैनिक बलों के जवान चौबीसों घंटे गश्त कर रहे हैं।
पूरे हिमालयी क्षेत्र में तापमान शून्य से काफी नीचे चला गया है। मिलम में जहां तापमान इस समय माइनस 15 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक पहुंच रहा है वहीं दुंग में माइनस 20 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक चला जा रहा है।
उच्च हिमालयी क्षेत्र में छाए रहे बादल:
बुधवार को जिले के उच्च हिमालयी क्षेत्रों में बादल छाए रहे। हालांकि, निचले इलाकों में आसमान साफ होने से दिन भर धूप खिली रही। रात के समय इन दिनों जबरदस्त पाला गिर रहा है। पाला गिरने से सुबह शाम कड़ाके की ठंड पड़ रही है।
अभी तक नगरीय क्षेत्रों में प्रशासन की ओर से अलाव की व्यवस्था नहीं की गई है। निराश्रित लोगों को भी कड़ाके की ठंड में ठिठुरने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ रहा है। मुनस्यारी में कड़ाके की ठंड पड़ रही है। व्यापारी अपनी व्यवस्था से अलाव जला रहे हैं।
