श्री अशोक कुमार, अपर पुलिस महानिदेशक, अपराध एवं कानून व्यवस्था, उत्तराखण्ड द्वारा बताया गया कि आजकल एटीएम फ्रॉड से सम्बन्धित साईबर अपराधों के मामलों में अपराधियों द्वारा आम जनता को विभिन्न तरीको से झांसे मे लेकर उनके डेबिट/क्रेडिट कार्ड एवं ओ0टी0पी0 की जानकारी प्राप्त कर उनके बैंक खातों से धनराशि निकाली जा रही है। इस प्रकार के गिरोह अधिकांशतः झारखण्ड व बिहार राज्यों से संचालित होने प्रकाश में आ रहे हैं। ऐसे प्रकरणों में अपराधी स्वयं को बैंक अधिकारी/ए0टी0एम0 मुख्यालय/सेन्टर से वार्ता करने की बात कहकर प्रमुख रुप से निम्न बातो का झांसा देकर एटीएम की जानकारी प्राप्त करते हैः-
हैलो मै आपके बैंक से मैनेजर बोल रहा हूं, आपके एटीएम कार्ड की वैद्यता समाप्त हो रही है
हैलो मै आपके बैंक से मैनेजर बोल रहा हूं, आपके एटीएम कार्ड को आधार से लिंक करना है आपके डेबिट/ क्रेडिट कार्ड को आधार से लिंक करना है।
हैलो में आपके बैक से बोल रहा हूं , आपका डेबिट/क्रेडिट कार्ड ब्लॉक होने वाला है आदि-आदि……
की जानकारी लेने के बाद अपराधी उस व्यक्ति के खातो से विभिन्न ऑनलाईन पेमेन्ट गेटवे के माध्यम से ऑनलाईन शॉपिंग/ अन्य बैंक खातो में स्थानान्तरित करा लेते है।
यदि आपके द्वारा जानकारी नही दी जाती है तो उनके द्वारा अभद्र भाषा का प्रयोग भी किया जाता है।*
आम जनता को इस सम्बन्ध में जागरुक रहने की आवश्यकता है , तथा उनके द्वारा इस प्रकार के धोखाधडी जैसे साईबर अपराधों से बचाव के निम्न उपाय किये जा सकते है।
o किसी भी अंजान व्यक्ति से फोन पर अपने बैंक से सम्बन्धित जानकारी शेयर न करें।
o अपने डेबिट/क्रेडिट कार्ड का नम्बर,पासवर्ड, पिन, सी0वी0वी0 किसी से शेयर ना करें।
o बैंक कभी भी आपके एटीएम/ खाते / पासवर्ड आदि गोपनीय जानकारी नहीं मांगता है।
o एटीएम मशीन में पिन नम्बर डालते समय की-पैड को अपने हाथों से छिपाते हुये प्रयोग करें।
o भीड़-भाड़ वाले और असुरक्षित स्थानों में एटीएम का प्रयोग सावधानीपूर्वक करें।
o एटीएम का प्रयोग करते समय अनजान व्यक्तियों से सहायता कभी न लें।
o समय-समय पर अपने ATM/Debitएवं Credit Card का पिन नम्बर बदलते रहे।
o यदि आपकी जानकारी के बिना आपके खाते से धनराशि आहरित होती है तो तत्काल अपने बैक शाखा मे जाकर बैंक मैनेजर से सम्पर्क कर शिकायत दर्ज करायें।
