खुद को सबसे पहले प्लास्टिक फ्री घोषित करने वाले नगर निकाय को त्रिवेंद्र सरकार खास पुरस्कार से सम्मानित करेगी। इस श्रेणी में नगर निगम को एक करोड़, नगर पालिका को 75 लाख और नगर पंचायत को 50 लाख रुपये तक का ईनाम दिया जाएगा। साथ ही आगामी स्वच्छता सर्वेक्षण में देशभर में टॉप सौ शहरों में शामिल निकायों को भी सरकार एक करोड़ रुपये तक का ईनाम देगी। स्वच्छता सर्वेक्षण-2020 की तैयारियों के लिए उत्तराखंड के सभी शहरी निकायों के प्रमुखों और अधिकारियों के लिए आयोजित कार्यशाला में मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र रावत ने यह घोषणा की। उन्होंने कहा कि देश के लिए साफ पानी और हवा का भंडार होने से उत्तराखंड की विशिष्ट भूमिका है। इसलिए हमें स्वच्छता पर ध्यान देना होगा। शहरी विकास मंत्री मदन कौशिक ने कहा, नगर निकायों के प्रमुख स्वच्छता को राजनीतिक ताकत में बदलें। स्वच्छता के मोर्चे पर किए काम से कई चुनाव जीते जा सकते हैं। संयुक्त सचिव शहरी विकास, भारत सरकार डीके जिंदल ने कहा कि देशभर में 14 सितंबर से दो अक्तूबर के बीच प्लास्टिक मुक्त अभियान चलाया जाएगा।
प्रमुख घोषणाएं
- प्लास्टिक फ्री होने पर नगर निगम को एक करोड़ रुपये, नगर पालिका को 75 लाख और नगर पंचायत को 50 लाख रुपये प्रदान किए जाएंगे।
- स्वच्छता सर्वेक्षण-2020 के पहले 100 शहरों में आने वाले निकाय को एक करोड़ रुपये दिए जाएंगे।
- उत्तराखंड की स्वच्छता रैंकिंग में प्रथम, द्वितीय और तृतीय स्थान पर आने वाले नगर निकायों के लिए पुरस्कार की धनराशि तीन गुना की जाएगी।
