IMA POP 2025: पहली बार महिलाएं भी करेंगी परेड, अकादमी के इतिहास में नया मोड़..
भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी (IMA) की पासिंग आउट परेड (POP) में अगले साल से एक बड़ा बदलाव होगा। अब महिला सैन्य अधिकारी भी परेड में शामिल होंगी। यह निर्णय लैंगिक समानता को बढ़ावा देने और सेना में महिलाओं की भूमिका को सशक्त करने के उद्देश्य से लिया गया है। इससे महिला अधिकारियों को समान अवसर मिलेंगे।
भारतीय सैन्य अकादमी (आइएमए) देहरादून में इस साल 13 दिसंबर में होने वाली पासिंग आउट परेड एक ऐतिहासिक पड़ाव साबित होने वाली है। आइएमए के 93 साल के इतिहास में यह अंतिम परेड होगी, जिसमें केवल पुरुष कैडेट शामिल होंगे। वर्ष 2026 से परेड का दृश्य बदल जाएगा और महिला कैडेट भी पुरुषों के साथ कदमताल करती दिखाई देंगी।
आइएमए, जो अब तक केवल पुरुष कैडेट के प्रशिक्षण का केंद्र रहा, मौजूदा प्रशिक्षण चक्र से महिला कैडेट की भागीदारी के साथ सेना में लैंगिक समानता की नई शुरुआत कर चुका है। सेना के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों का मानना है कि यह बदलाव महज प्रतीकात्मक नहीं, बल्कि सशस्त्र बलों की कार्य संस्कृति, नेतृत्व और अवसरों में व्यापक परिवर्तन लाने वाला है। सैन्य सूत्रों के अनुसार, महिला कैडेट के प्रवेश को ध्यान में रखते हुए आइएमए ने बुनियादी ढांचे, आवास, सुरक्षा और प्रशिक्षण व्यवस्थाओं में व्यापक बदलाव किया गया है।
आफिसर मेस, बैरक, स्पोर्ट्स काम्प्लेक्स और मेडिकल सुविधाओं को महिला कैडेट के अनुरूप अपग्रेड किया गया है। प्रशिक्षकों को प्रशिक्षण के दौरान लिंगभेद से रहित मानकों पर काम करने के लिए विशेष दिशा-निर्देश दिए गए हैं। अब तक भारतीय सेना में महिला अधिकारी चेन्नई स्थित आफिसर्स ट्रेनिंग अकादमी (ओटीए) से प्रशिक्षण लेकर कमीशन पाती रही हैं, लेकिन आइएमए में महिला कैडेट का शामिल होना सेना के लिए बड़ा ढांचागत बदलाव माना जा रहा है।
आइएमए को हमेशा से सबसे कठोर और प्रतिष्ठित सैन्य प्रशिक्षण केंद्र के रूप में देखा जाता रहा है, जहां अब महिला और पुरुष कैडेट पहली बार एक साथ प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त कर रहे हैं। विशेष यह कि दिसंबर 2023 में आइएमए ने कैडेट को संबोधित करने वाला शब्द भी बदल दिया था। अब उन्हें ‘जेंटलमैन कैडेट’ के बजाय ‘आफिसर कैडेट’ कहा जाता है। भाषा में यह बदलाव भी सेना में लैंगिक समानता के दृष्टिकोण को स्पष्ट करता है। 13 दिसंबर को होने वाली पासिंग आउट परेड वह आखिरी अवसर होगा, जब ड्रिल स्क्वायर पर केवल पुरुष कैडेट दिखाई देंगे। सेना और पूर्व सैनिक समुदाय इस क्षण को विरासत के रूप में देख रहा है, जबकि अगले साल होने वाली परेड को ‘भविष्य की सेना की पहली झलक’ कहा जा रहा है।
आठ कैडेट ले रही प्रशिक्षण
अगस्त 2022 में 19 महिला कैडेट का पहला बैच एनडीए में शामिल हुआ था। तीन वर्ष के कठोर प्रशिक्षण के बाद मई 2025 में 18 कैडेट स्नातक हुईं, जबकि इनमें से आठ ने आइएमए में प्रवेश पाया। 15 जुलाई 2025 को आइएमए के इतिहास में यह नया अध्याय जुड़ा। ये आठ कैडेट, जिन्होंने एनडीए से अपनी यात्रा शुरू की थी, अब आइएमए में एक वर्ष का कठोर प्रशिक्षण ले रही हैं।
