त्योहारी सीजन में मिठाई की अपेक्षा ड्राई फ्रूट देने का चलन बढ़ा है।
यह सेहत के लिए लभदायक भी हैं, पर आकर्षक पैकिंग को देखकर झांसे में न आएं। ड्राई फ्रूट के डिब्बे पर पैकेजिंग और बेस्ट बिफोर की तारीख को जरूर देख लें। ड्राई फ्रूट के रंगों पर ध्यान दें, अगर उनका रंग बदल गया है तो समझ लें कि ड्राई फ्रूट खराब हो चुका है। अंजीर, एप्रिकोट या सूखा आलूबुखारा अगर खाते समय कठोर लगे तो मान लें कि वो खराब हैं। इनमें किसी तरह की महक भी आ रही है तो भी उसे न खरीदें।
जिला अभिहित अधिकारी जीसी कंडवाल के अनुसार उपभोक्ता कई बार समझते हैं कि ड्राई फ्रूट्स के पैकेट पर किसी तरह की एक्सपायरी डेट नहीं होती और ड्राई फ्रूट कभी खराब ही नहीं होते हैं, जबकि ऐसा नहीं हैं, इनकी शेल्फ लाइफ काफी ज्यादा होती है, लेकिन एक खास समय सीमा के बाद ये भी खराब हो जाते हैं।
खरीदने से पहले ये जांच लें:
-पैकिंग की तारीख और उपभोग की अवधि अवश्य देखें।
-किसके द्वारा पैक किया गया, निर्माता का नाम और पता देखें।
-खाद्य सामग्री का विवरण देखें।
-बैच नंबर, लॉट नंबर, वजन और मूल्य।
-स्टोरेज कंडीशन, रख-रखाव के तरीके जरूर देख लें।
-भरोसेमंद जगह से ही सामान लें।
जांच परिणाम में दिखती है सुस्ती:
फेस्टिव सीजन में दूध समेत अन्य खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट नई बात नहीं है। पर इसे रोकने के लिए गंभीर कदम भी नहीं उठाए गए। वहीं, जो सैंपलिंग होती भी है वो सिर्फ रस्मअदायगी के लिए। इतना ही नहीं, हैरानी तो तब होती है जब जांच के लिए अपनी लैब नहीं थी, तब भी रिपोर्ट आने में वक्त लगता था और अब रुद्रपुर में अपनी लैब है, तब भी परिणाम नहीं मिल पाते। कहने का मतलब मिलावटखोरों को खुली छूट है, फिर भले ही लोगों का स्वास्थ्य चौपट ही क्यों न हो जाए। खाद्य पदार्थों के परीक्षण की प्रक्रिया बहुत जटिल भी नहीं है। न इसमें ज्यादा वक्त लगता है। पर रिपोर्ट त्योहार बीत जाने के कई दिन बाद आती है। जिस कारण आम आदमी को इसका फायदा नहीं मिलता।
