मुख्यमंत्री श्री तीरथ सिंह रावत ने अन्तरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के अवसर पर उत्तराखण्ड आयुर्वेदिक विश्व विद्यालय परिसर में योगाभ्यास किया। कोविड प्रोटोकॉल का पालन करते हुए योगाभ्यास किया गया।
मुख्यमंत्री श्री तीरथ सिंह रावत ने कहा कि योग की वजह से उत्तराखण्ड की विश्व में अलग पहचान है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने 21 जून को अन्तरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के रूप में मनाने की घोषणा की थी। यह प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी की पहल का परिणाम था। योग शारीरिक और मानसिक रूप से मजबूती प्रदान करता है। योग शरीर मन और आत्मा को जोड़ने वाला विज्ञान है। योग की वजह से भारत की विश्व में विशिष्ट पहचान है। योग को देश एवं दुनिया तक ले जाने में देवभूमि उत्तराखण्ड का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा है। स्वस्थ जीवन के लिए सभी को नियमित योग करना होगा।
आयुष एवं आयुष शिक्षा मंत्री डॉ. हरक सिंह रावत ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड का योग से काफी पुराना संबंध है। हिमालय में ऋषि-मुनियों द्वारा कन्दराओं एवं गुफाओं में प्राचीन समय से योग किया जाता था। उत्तराखण्ड की भूमि से निकलकर योग देश और दुनिया तक फैल चुका है। प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी जी ने वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम की बात की और योग को वैश्विक स्तर पर पहचान दिलाई। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड वासी सौभाग्यशाली हैं कि यह योग भूमि होने के साथ ही हम शुद्ध पर्यावरण के बीच रह रहे हैं। चरक डाण्डा में आयुर्वेदिक शोध संस्थान बनाया जा रहा है।
इस अवसर पर सचिव आयुष श्री चन्द्रेश यादव, कुलपति उत्तराखण्ड आयुर्वेदिक विश्व विद्यालय प्रो. सुनील कुमार, निदेशक आयुर्वेदिक एवं यूनानी सेवाएं डॉ. एम. पी. सिंह, जिलाधिकारी देहरादून डॉ. आशीष कुमार श्रीवास्तव आदि उपस्थित थे।
