डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ टेलिकॉम ने टेलिकॉम कंपनियों को से साफ कह दिया है की सभी कस्टमर के मोबाइल नंबर आधार से ही इश्यु हो और पुराने नंबर्स भी आधार कार्ड से लिंक हों.अन्यथा टेलिकॉम डिपार्टमेंट द्वारा दिए गए समय सीमा के बाद वे नंबर्स जो आधार से लिंक नहीं है वे रद्द हो जायेंगे. डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ टेलिकॉम का अनुमान है की यह काम एक साल के भीतर पूरी हो जाएगी.टेलिकॉम डिपार्टमेंट के आदेश के अनुसार यह प्रक्रिया 6 फ़रवरी २०१८ से पहले पूरी हो जानी चाहिए.
विदित हो कि हाल ही में इन्कमटेक्स फाईल करने के लिए आधार कार्ड को अनिवार्य कर दिया गया है. डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ टेलिकॉम ने कहा है की सभी कस्टमर के मोबाइल नंबर का वेरिफिकेशन दुबारा किया जाएगा. और उन्हें आधार कार्ड से लिंक किया जायेगा.
