होटल, बस अड्डे, रेलवे स्टेशन, एयरपोर्ट, मॉल या अन्य जगहों पर फ्री वाई-फाई इस्तेमाल करते हैं? अगर हां तो आपको सावधान रहना चाहिए। इंटरनेट से कनेक्ट करने की जल्दी में आप भूल सकते हैं कि सार्वजनिक वाई-फाई अनसेफ हो सकते हैं। इसलिए बाद में पछताने से बेहतर है कि पहले ही कुछ बातों का ध्यान रख लिया जाए। वरना आपके स्मार्टफोन से कई संवेदनशील जानकारियां चुराई जा सकती हैं। इसलिए आगे जानें 7 ऐसी बातें, जिनका ध्यान रखना जरूरी है।
- फोन के ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम को अपडेटेड रखेंऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम सिर्फ स्मार्टफोन्स को यूज करने के लिए जरूरी इंटरफेस ही मुहैया नहीं करवाते बल्कि खतरों से भी बचाते हैं। वक्त-वक्त पर कंपनियां सिक्यॉरिटी अपडेट्स जारी करती हैं जो खामियों को दूर करते हैं और अन्य खतरों से भी स्मार्टफोन्स को बचाते हैं। इसलिए हमेशा अपने स्मार्टफोन का सॉफ्टवेयर अप-टु-डेट रखना चाहिए। सिर्फ पब्लिक वाई-फाई ऐक्सेस करने के लिहाज से नहीं, आपको वैसे भी अपने फोन का OS अपडेटेड रखना चाहिए।
- मोबाइल ऐंटी-वाइरस टूल्स इस्तेमाल करेंपब्लिक वाई-फाई इस्तेमाल करने से पहले यह सुनिश्चित कर लें कि फोन में सिक्यॉरिटी सॉफ्टवेयर इंस्टॉल्ड है। iOS डिवाइसेज को दिक्कत नहीं है मगर ऐंड्रॉयड पर मैलवेयर आ सकते हैं। ऐसे में कोई ऐसा ऐंटीवाइरस डालें जिसमें फायरवॉल, मैलवेयर स्कैनिंग और रिमूवल जैसे फीचर्स हों। दरअसल पब्लिक वाई-फाई पर कनेक्ट करने पर अन्य डिवाइसेज के मैलवेयर आपके डिवाइस पर आ सकते हैं। यह गलती से हो सकता है और तभी हो स सकता है, जब इन्फेक्टेड डिवाइस अन्य डिवाइसेज को वाइरस भेज रहा हो। हो सकता है हैकर्स जानबूझकर ऐसा कर रहे हों। ऐंटी-मैलवयेर ऐप्स इस मामले में मददगार साबित होते हैं।
- स्लो सार्वजनिक वाई-फाई खतरनाक हो सकता हैअगर आपने किसी ओपन वाई-फाई नेटवर्क पर लॉगइन किया है और लग रहा है कि कनेक्शन स्लो है तो तुरंत डिस्कनेक्ट कर दें। अगर साइन-इन पेज पर जाने में दिक्कत हो, तब भी तुरंत डिस्कनेक्ट करें। स्पीड इसलिए कम हो सकती है क्योंकि राउटर वाइरस की चपेट में हो सकता है। यह भीहो सकता है कि आप मेन राउटर के बजाय किसी और राउटर से कनेक्ट हो गए हों। संभव है कि आप डेटा को किसी अन्य डिवाइस के जरिए ऐक्सेस कर रहे हों। दरअसल साइबर क्रिमिनट ट्रैक करते रहते हैं कि आसपास कोई वाई-फाई सिग्नल तो नहीं है। वे तुरंत अपने पीसी को फेक राउटर में तब्दील कर देते हैं। जैसे ही कोई मेन राउटर के बजाय उनके डिवाइस से कनेक्ट करता है, वे उसके जरिए भेजा जाने वाले सारा डेटा कॉपी कर लेते हैं।
- बैंकिंग और शॉपिंग करने से बचेंपब्लिक वाई-फाई कनेक्शन के जरिए ऑनलाइन बैंकिंग या शॉपिंग करना असुरक्षित है। स्कैमर आपके अकाउंट्स की डीटेल्स हैक कर सकते हैं। अगर कोई जरूरी ट्रांजैक्शन करनी हो तो मोबाइल डेटा इस्तेमाल करें या फिर वीपीएन इस्तेमाल करें। ब्राउजर पर नेट बैंकिंग करने के बजाय बैंक के ऑफिशल ऐप को इस्तेमाल करें क्योंकि उसमें एनक्रिप्शन होता है। इसी तरह से स्थापित कंपनियों के ऐप्स के जरिए ही शॉपिंग करें।
- टू फैक्टर ऑथेंटिकेशन अपनाएंअगर आप अक्सर फ्री वाई-फाई यूज करते हैं तो अपने सभी ऑनलाइन अकाउंट्स, खासकर पर्सनल जीमेल और बैंक अकाउंट्स पर टू-फैक्टर ऑथेंटिकेशन ऑन कर दीजिए। टू फैक्टर ऑथेंटिकेशन में दरअसल सामान्य पासवर्ड के अलावा आपको मोबाइल फोन आने वाला OTP भी डालना होता है। इसके बिना लॉगइन नहीं कर पाएंगे। यह इसलिए जरूरी है क्योंकि अगर किसी ने पब्लिक वाई-फाई के जरिए आपके पासवर्ड का पता लगा लिया होगा, तब भी वह कुछ नहीं कर पाएगा।
- काम होते ही वाई-फाई से डिस्कनेक्ट करेंबहुत से लोग इस बात को नजरअंदाज कर देते हैं। अगर आप वाई-फाई पर काम पूरा कर लें तो स्मार्टफोन या टैब का वाई-फाई स्विच ऑफ कर दें। वाई-फाई डिसेबल नहीं होगा तो चुपके से कोई आपके स्मार्टफोन में वाइरस डाल सकता है।
- VPN के बिना सार्वजनिक वाई-फाई से कनेक्ट न करेंपब्लिक वाई-फाई इस्तेमाल करने से होने वाले खतरों को वीपीएन के इस्तेमाल से कम किया जा सकता है। पहले लैपटॉप और डेस्कटॉप्स पर ही VPN (वर्चुअल प्राइवेट नेटवर्क) को इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता था मगर अब ऐप्स भी उपलपब्ध हैं। ये ऐप्स सिक्यॉर वीपीएन सर्वर से कनेक्ट करते हैं और आपके डेटा को एनक्रिप्ट कर देते हैं। वीपीएन के कई फायदे हैं- आपके देश में कोई वेबसाइट ब्लॉक हो तो उसे भी देखा जा सकता है।
