मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत के ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट में शामिल सूर्यधार झील निर्माण कार्य की विशेष जांच के आदेश सिंचाई मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कर दिए हैं। महाराज ने कुछ दिन पहले ही सिंचाई विभाग से निर्माण कार्य की लागत बढ़ने का कारण पूछा था। विभाग की ओर से दिए गए जवाब पर असंतोष जाहिर करते हुए महाराज ने यह आदेश जारी किए।
महाराज के मुताबिक विभाग के स्तर पर दिए गए जवाब में कई स्तर पर गड़बड़ी पाई गई है। महाराज ने बताया कि भोगपुर में बनाई जा रही इस बांध परियोजना में 1837.34 लाख की लागत का अनुमान था।
41 करोड़ रुपये का अभी तक भुुगतान किया जा चुका है। डीपीआर में बैराज की ऊंचाई आठ मीटर थी। आईआईटी अहमदाबाद और आईआरआई रुड़की से मॉडल स्टडी के बाद यह ऊंचाई दस मीटर होनी थी। इस पर मौखिक निर्णय लिया गया।
महाराज के मुताबिक करीब 62 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए गए थे। जो स्वीकृत 50 करोड़ रुपये से 12 करोड़ रुपये अधिक है। मुुख्यमंत्री के इस ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट से भोगपुर सहित आसपास के करीब 18 गांवों को सिंचाई के लिए पानी मिलना है। इससे करीब 34 हजार लोगों को पेयजल की आपूर्ति भी की जानी है।
इसी योजना को लेकर सिंचाई मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने 27 सितंबर को स्थलीय निरीक्षण भी किया था। उस समय परियोजना की लागत बढ़ने पर महाराज ने नाराजगी जताई थी और कार्यदायी संस्था सिंचाई विभाग से जवाब मांगा था। महाराज केे मुताबिक सचिव सिंचाई को विशेष जांच का आदेश जारी कर दिया गया है।
