कॉर्बेट पार्क बना विदेशी दवा इस्तेमाल करने वाला देश का पहला रिजर्व।
कॉर्बेट टाइगर रिजर्व देश का पहला ऐसा टाइगर रिजर्व बना गया है, जिसके पास वन्यजीवों को ट्रैंक्यूलाइज कर रेस्क्यू (काबू) करने के लिए कारगर विदेशी औषधि उपलब्ध है। इस औषधि की खासियत यह है कि इससे किसी वन्यजीव को ट्रैंक्यूलाइज करने पर वह दो मिनट में ही बेहोश हो जाता है। इसी औषधि का प्रयोग करते हुए हाल ही में कॉर्बेट पार्क के पशु चिकित्सकों ने एक बाघिन और एक बाघ को ट्रैंक्यूलाइज कर सकुशल राजाजी नेशनल पार्क में छोड़ा है।
कॉर्बेट टाइगर रिजर्व (सीटीआर) इस दवा के लिए 2017 से ही प्रयास कर रहा था। सीटीआर को मिली यह विदेशी औषधि मैक्सिको और अफ्रीका से आई है। दिसंबर मध्य में मिलीं इन औषधियों की कीमत करीब बीस लाख रुपये से अधिक बताई जा रही है। कॉर्बेट पार्क के पशु चिकित्सक डॉ. दुष्यंत शर्मा ने बताया कि 23 दिसंबर को बिजरानी रेंज में बाघिन और आठ जनवरी को झिरना रेंज के लालढांग में बाघ को रेस्क्यू करने में इस दवा इस्तेमाल किया गया था। भारतीय वन्यजीव संस्थान के पास यह औषधि पहले से ही है।
बेहद कारगर और सुरक्षित है यह औषधि:
पशु चिकित्सक डॉ. दुष्यंत शर्मा के अनुसार ये औषधि बेहद कारगर व सुरक्षित है। 23 दिसंबर को ट्रैंक्यूलाइज करने के दो मिनट बाद ही बाघिन बेहोश हो गई थी और फिर रेडियो कॉलर लगाकर एंटीडॉट लगाते ही वह शीघ्र ही होश में भी आ गई। इसके बाद आठ जनवरी को भी बाघ को ट्रैंक्यूलाइज करने के बाद वह दो मिनट में ही बेहोश हो गया था। एंटीडॉट लगाते ही बाघ पूरी तरह से होश में आ गया।
अभी तक ट्रैंक्यूलाइज करने के बाद ढूंढना पड़ता था वन्यजीवों को:
पशु चिकित्सक ने बताया कि पहले जब किसी वन्यजीव को रेस्क्यू करना होता था तो ट्रैंक्यूलाइज करने के बाद वन्यजीव को बेहोश होने में बीस मिनट तक लग जाते थे। इस दौरान उसके भागने से उसे तलाशना चुनौती भरा होता था, क्योंकि वह झाड़ियों में चला जाता था। इस दौरान उसके हमलावर होने का भी अंदेशा रहता था। अब विदेशी औषधि से महज कुछ मिनट में वन्यजीव बेहोश जाता है और आसानी से पकड़ में आ जाता है।
ये तीन विदेशी औषधियां मिलीं:
कॉर्बेट टाइगर रिजर्व को तीन साल की कड़ी मशक्कत के बाद तीन विदेशी औषधियां मिली हैं। इन औषधियों के साथ उनके एंटीडॉट भी कॉर्बेट को मिले हैं। इन विदेशी दवाओं में एट्रोफाइन का एंटी डोट नेलट्रेक्जोन, मेडीटोमाइडीन का एंटी डोट एटिपएमेजोल और केरविडाइन का एंटी डोट टोलाजोलाइन हैं।
वन्यजीवों को सकुशल रेस्क्यू करने के लिए विदेशी औषधि की जरूरत थी। तीन साल के बाद आखिरकार अब कॉर्बेट टाइगर रिजर्व के पास विदेशी औषधि है। अब वन्यजीवों को आसानी से रेस्क्यू किया जा सकेगा।
