महाराणा प्रताप स्पोर्ट्स कॉलेज में आज मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने किया खेल महाकुम्भ का शुभारम्भ।
देहरादून- मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने आज महाराणा प्रताप स्पोर्ट्स कॉलेज में राज्य स्तरीय खेल महाकुम्भ का शुभारम्भ किया। इस खेल महाकुम्भ का आयोजन 3 जनवरी से 20 फरवरी तक देहरादून, हरिद्वार, रूद्रपुर एवं हल्द्वानी में किया जा रहा है। खेल महाकुंभ में विभिन्न खेल प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की जायेंगी। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि 2024 में होने वाले ओलंपिक खेलों में उत्तराखण्ड से खिलाड़ी प्रतिभाग करें एवं मेडल प्राप्त कर सकें, इसके लिए खेल विभाग को अभी से तैयारी करनी होगी। राज्य में खिलाड़ियों की प्रतिभाओं को देखते हुए कुछ खेलों का चयन किया जाए, खिलाड़ियों की प्रतिभाओं को निखारने के लिए देश एवं विदेश से भी कोच की आवश्यकता हो तो इसकी व्यवस्था की जायेगी। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि खेल प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रतिभाग करने वाले बच्चों के भत्ते को 150 रूपये से बढ़ाकर 200 रूपये किया जायेगा। आमवाला में युवा केन्द्र के समीप खाली जमीन को युवा कल्याण विभाग को दिया जायेगा। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार का प्रयास है कि प्रदेश के अधिकतम युवाओं को खेल प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेने का मौका मिले एवं अपनी प्रतिभाओं को राष्ट्रीय तथा अन्तरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर दिखाने का मौका मिले। इस उद्देश्य से राज्य में खेल महाकुम्भ का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। खेलों का उद्देश्य सिर्फ मेडल प्राप्त करना ही नहीं है, बल्कि स्वस्थ शरीर, मस्तिष्क एवं स्वस्थ जीवन के निर्माण में भी खेलों की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका होती है। यह सौभाग्य की बात है कि उत्तराखण्ड से खेल प्रतियोगिताओं में बालिकाओं की हिस्सेदारी भी बालकों के बराबर है। प्रदेश की बालिकाएं किसी भी मामले में बालकों से कम नहीं हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि जिस राज्य के विकास में स्त्री एवं पुरूषों दोनों का योगदान होता है, वह राज्य तेजी से प्रगति के पथ पर अग्रसर होता है। उन्होंने सभी खिलाड़ियों को खेल भावना का परिचय देने को कहा। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र ने कहा कि 2019 खेलों की दृष्टि से उत्तराखण्ड के लिए महत्वपूर्ण वर्ष रहा। उत्तराखण्ड को क्रिकेट में बीसीसीआई से पूर्ण मान्यता मिली एवं रणजी ट्राफी में आधिकारिक रूप से न केवल शिरकत की बल्कि सराहनीय प्रदर्शन भी किया। खेल एवं युवा कल्याण मंत्री अरविन्द पाण्डेय ने कहा कि खेल महाकुंभ के आयोजन से राज्य के हर जिलों से युवाओं को अपने खेल कौशल को दिखाने का मौका मिल रहा है। इस खेल महाकुंभ में 500 से अधिक खिलाड़ी प्रतिभाग कर रहे हैं। राज्य सरकार का प्रयास है आगामी राष्ट्रीय एवं अन्तरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं में प्रदेश के युवाओं को प्रतिभाग करने का अधिक से अधिक मौका मिले। आने वाले समय में खेल महाकुभ के माध्यम से राज्य को अच्छे खिलाड़ी मिलेंगे। इस अवसर पर युवा कल्याण सलाहकार परिषद् के उपाध्यक्ष जितेन्द्र रावत मोनी, सचिव खेल ब्रिजेश संत, अपर सचिव खेल प्रताप शाह, भाजपा के जिलाध्यक्ष शमशेर सिंह पुण्डीर एवं खेल विभाग के अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
