अनुष्ठान संपन्न होने के बाद मुख्यमंत्री तीरथ सिंह रावत, विधानसभा अध्यक्ष प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल, शहरी विकास मंत्री बंशीधर भगत श्रीगंगा सभा के कार्यालय पहुंचे। यहां श्रीगंगा सभा के सभापति कृष्ण कुमार शर्मा, अध्यक्ष प्रदीप झा, महामंत्री तन्मय वशिष्ठ, स्वागत मंत्री सिद्धार्थ चक्रपाणी, अखिल भारतीय युवा तीर्थ पुरोहित महासभा के अध्यक्ष उज्ज्वल पंडित ने अतिथियों को गंगाजली, चुनरी और प्रसाद भेंट किया। श्रीगंगा सभा के कार्यालय में मुख्यमंत्री तीरथ सिंह रावत ने चिन्मय पंडित के महाकुंभ गीत का विमोचन किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने चिन्मय पंडित को बधाई दी।
गंगा पूजन के दौरान अखिल भारतीय अखाड़ा परिषद के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष श्रीमहंत नरेंद्र गिरि, महामंत्री श्रीमहंत हरिगिरि, पंचायती श्री निरंजनी अखाड़े के सचिव रविंद्र पुरी, शहरी विकास सचिव शैलेश बगोली, मेलाधिकारी दीपक रावत, आईजी मेला संजय गुंज्याल, डीएम सी. रविशंकर, एसएसपी कुंभ जन्मेजय खंडूड़ी, एसएसपी सेंथिल अबूदई कृष्णराज एस आदि अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
आईजी कुंभ मेला संजय गुंज्याल ने बताया कि कुंभ मेला क्षेत्र में लगाए गए 1200 से अधिक सीसीटीवी बिजली गुल होने पर बंद नहीं होंगे। सीसीटीवी को सोलर ऊर्जा पैनल से जोड़ा गया है। पहले लाइट गायब होते ही सीसीटीवी बंद हो जाते थे और पुलिसकर्मी यातायात व अन्य गतिविधियों पर नजर नहीं रख पाते थे। कई बार घटना होने के बाद उसे अंजाम देने वाले का पता नहीं चल पाता है। ऐसे में अब 24 घंटे सीसीटीवी कैमरे काम करते रहेंगे।
महाकुंभ मेले के दौरान हर छोटी-बड़ी घटना पर नजर रखने के लिए शहर के विभिन्न चौराहों, मेला क्षेत्र समेत पुलों व घाटों पर सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाए गए हैं। इन कैमरों को लाइट से कनेक्ट किया गया था। जिसके चलते यह कैमरे बंद हो जाते थे। मगर अब इन सीसीटीवी को सौर ऊर्जा पैनल से कनेक्ट किया गया है। इन कैमरों से पूरा हाईवे, हरकी पैड़ी, भीमगोड़ा, गंगा के सभी घाट कवर किए गए हैं।
